The former sheep and donkey stables have been converted into three attractive guest apartments, each with bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and wood burning stove, suitable for renting out. A spacious very well isolated studio of 50 m², now in use as a sound studio, is suitable for many other purposes like a workshop or yoga studio.
Because of its position at 1000 meters altitude, the climate is very pleasant.
Summers are lovely, warm and dry, while a light breeze will dispel the heat in the midday sun. The house is surrounded by walnut trees and as far the eye can see there are green mountain slopes with gall oaks, pine trees and junipers. In the valley below the house there is a natural swimming pond with crispy cool water from a well.
This is a place where it’s still really quiet, where at night you can see an overwhelming starry sky.
The house is situated in the heart of a protected nature reserve. From the main road, a solid dirt road (aprox. 300M) leads to the cortijo.
At 10 min. Walking distance is bar-restaurant and a small mountain school (at this moment 6 pupils), which also accommodates a community centre and an astronomy observatory.
Villages where you can find a covered market with daily fresh vegetables, fish and meat, supermarkets and banks, are at a driving distance of about 45 minutes.
At a distance of one hour are the monumental cities Ubeda and Baeza, with beautiful inner cities where its palaces and stately squares in Renaissance style reflecting a rich history. Both cities are on the Unesco world list of Cultural Heritage.
